.It's been in beta for a while, but the stable full version is of Firefox 3 -- the new, updated version of everybody's favorite browser -- is due out in June of this year, as reported by tech blog Wired.

I've been playing with the beta version of Firefox for a while. Most exciting to me (I'm singleminded) are updates to the skin and theme features. Firefox skins will be able to do things they've never done before in this new version.

We still have a few months yet though before it's released. If you're feeling daring, you could join the 700,000 people worldwide who have downloaded the beta version at mozilla.com/firefox/all-beta.html.

Firefox has a user base of 160 million people worldwide.

The largest source for Firefox skins online is without a doubt Mozilla's own Addons website. And in preparation for the upcoming release of Firefox 3 (currently in beta) they've given the site a complete makeover.

As a fan of quality design work in any form, I have to give kudos to the designers of the new Mozilla Addons site. It's gorgeous.
